PROFILE


Jad Haber is a member of the ADG (Australian Directors Guild). From an early age, he nurtured a strong artistic sensibility studying music, photography and film. At the age of 23, he directed his first feature film, "The End Of The Beginning" and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Film that same year.
In 2003, he completed his masters degree in Film and Digital Video at The University Of Sydney, adding a masters degree in Digital Media and VFX to his resume whilst there. At the moment, Jad is adding to his reservoir a Post-Graduate degree in Directing at AFTRS.


 He graduated with a High Distinction and was placed on the "Dean's Honor List". He focuses his career on the TV Commercial and Music Video world and has become a sought after Director with a solid reputation for constructing engaging stories through accurate casting and a sharp eye for detail.


As a Director/Designer with a strong background in Post-Production (Senior Compositor/Editor
with hands-on SHAKE, NUKE, FCP and AVID); he has directed more than 50 TV commercials. Along the way, he worked as a VFX compositor on Baz Luhrmann’s feature film "AUSTRALIA" and collaborated with Academy Award winner/nominee Catherine Martin and Dody Dorn.
In addition, he has written and directed two award-winning short films; "Nora" and "Deja-vu".
He has built a diverse reel of VFX and directorial pieces focusing on Music Videos and TV Commercials and has worked with an impressive range of artists and clients including like Kasey Chambers, Three, Vodafone, Sofitel, Deals Direct, Massel, Crime Stoppers, to name a few.

It is this general proficiency across multiple departments that makes out his work. In addition, he is just as comfortable behind a camera as he is supervising complex post-production projects.

For the last two years he has given lectures in digital compositing and VFX design for post-graduate students at The University of Sydney.
